I think it has to do with the design difference between the two. The 2010 has a scalloped hem and the buckles, which break up the silhouette and expanse of black leather, while the 4 zip had a straight cut hem and minimal hardware.

The pockets also appear to be lower on the 4-zip so the leather can't change it's shape as easily nearer to the hem because of the zips.

I believe that the 2010DRs has changed sometime within these 6 or so months. The buckles appear to be lower, and the hem seems to be more of a straight cut opposed to the older 2010DRs.

Just happened across this pic of an old TOJ model. I really like the minimal edges on this jacket. Seams look really clean and flat too.

Shirt has been done, but it's Korean harvest lunar thanksgiving-seok right now over there, so no chance to mail it to me. I might be in Seoul this week anyway though, so you guys will see it soon.
MA-1, not yet. Still doing textile research.

Is the front of the MDR supposed to hang lower than the back?

My front length was supposed to be 23.4" and back was 25.6" but it looks like the jacket hangs long in front. It may be something about how the jacket drapes on a person vs when laying flat, but I would have thought a 2.2" difference would be more pronounced.

As it is, I feel like the back is too short and the front is too long (and I've drifted into unzipping the bottom of the 2-way zip to open it up). Not sure if this is just how it hangs or a measurement issue during construction.

I was thinking about getting a brown A-2 bomber for my first leather jacket. Do you guys think this jacket is easy to pull off? I don't want anything too loud. I wear mostly clothes from epaulet and such. Would you recommend another jacket instead?

A2 is very easy to wear. If you wear epaulet stuff, you should have no problem pairing it. Sounds like a great choice.

i just wanted to say that drews decision to keep the zipper pulls (ball and chain style) was a great choice.
i was against it and it kept me from buying a toj once he changed the configuration but now i see the light redface.gif
