its that age old dilemma where you take the risk to break it in and if it works, fine. if not then ill have to take a bigger loss redface.gif
clothes came is serious business

It's funny because coming from an MC perspective, the aim is to have the highest possible armholes in order to maximize mobility and minimize the shift of the jacket when you are reaching for stuff. I get bummed out when jacket armholes don't touch my pits.

yeah, i made the exact same comment. this would be perfect if it was a suit. laugh.gif

Snowman, your jacket is calf? Yeah rough stuff. In hindsight, at least for me, i should've got all of my jackets in lamb except my med whiskey. The high smiles don't bother me at the very slightest and I'm ocd like you. Bball, moto, and mdr all in calf bother me a little but i get over it haha.

Maybe bigger shoulder and P2P would help relieve higher armholes on the calf jackets? I imagine the arm hole would sit further out. I ordered a calf jacket and added a hair to both, and .1 to the armhole (from my bomber that is)

Yeah, that's what charly suggested (once p2p is a bit bigger you wont need all the space in the armhole)

I think a lot of the boxy-ness of Snowman's jacket is because its new calf and isn't draping, although I actually feel like the 4-zip mdr configuration maybe emphasizes it - while I love mine, I'm tending to wear it zipped up for this reason.

I think snowman should get a 3-zip or artishard rider in black goat, would look great.

Calf seems like the antithesis of the snow aesthetic... all about flowy fabrics (and hair). Lamb seems like a better match

So i think im going to get a navy qdr. I already have a black lamb 2010 that i love. Is there any reason i should go calf on this one, or just stick with the lamb?

I didnt feel any love towards the MDR because on most of the fits it just looks somewhat awkward and plain especially in black, even blazerlike on some fits but maybe its just how you styled it,. You really brought that thing to life man. Even though its calf you dont look like a stiff in it at all.
Note: To Willy or whoever manages the gallery site, you totally gotta add some page number links. I need quick access to creep on my fav fit pics lol.

Y'all are silly laugh.gif

I'm sitting on my couch wearing a rick tee under the 4zip as I type this, feels good.

I'm sure Toj lamb is 1000 times thicker than my raf but I like the stiffness of the calf. It still looks nice with my usual stuff. It's a cool juxtaposition between the hardcore calf and more delicate fabrics. But it's all tied together with some sturdy boots. ...Just my own opinion

you're all wrong. snow should get goat before he gets another lamb lololol

I'm pretty set on getting a 4 zip moto. Which material is best for this jacket, lamb or calf? Whiskey or dark brown?
About 500 million noob questions but here goes:

Thinking a Moto 2011 2 zip or CWU - 45, want something that dress up and down, so leaning towards moto 2011

Material - what is the difference between them? Way too much to read here so if there's a quick guide / breakdown that would be appreciated. Ideally would want something that can get beat up and look even better. What is the consensus for the preferred leather if I were to only get one TOJ?

Colors - thinking whisky or brown? I have mostly brown shell so figure it'd match a bit better? Is there still the option for dark whisky?

Cuffs, can you customize this at all?

Also looks like I'm a 48 but may need slightly bigger armholes, is that a possible modification?

Would email TOJ but I figure I'd get more direct info here.

Both good choices, moto sounds great.

Calf - stiffer, heavier, tougher, probably not what you want.
Lamb - soft and light, very nice
Goat - lighter? than lamb, but tougher and has much more texture

If only one TOJ, general consensus is lamb.

Whiskey! Not sure on availability. Another great option is brown goat (super dark, almost black) if you choose goat.

In regards to the CWU, Drew has expressed a strong preference for them only in black, but I believe a few brown ones exist.

There have been some modifications allowed in the past on case by case basis. You would have to email them directly for a real answer.

All leathers are fully MTM, adjust away. You should email.
