Just got my A2 in, ordered at cutoff. Beautiful jacket, by far the nicest piece I've ever owned. Little tight in the shoulders, but that's my fault as I've been bulking the past couple months. I'm in my boxers, so I'll post some fit pics tomorrow maybe. Just waiting for my MDR now!

any word on MRS zips?

real q: does calf gel well with the qdr's design? I've only seen one on the gallery, but i'm curious if there are wear impressions beyond that.

yes, the black and brown calf are a bit too heavy and stiff for an application like the QDR. The Italian calfskin was a bit more pliable and soft; it worked slightly better than the black or brown calf would. The details at the shoulder would not sing as much because the heavier layer over the foam when stitched down would hold the whole layer down, rather than ridging like the lamb does. Small construction thing based on weights and feel. The calf might be able to be shaved down to maybe lighten that effect, but I don't like shaving down leather.

fwiw, black lamb QDR's are like a work of art once they're in your hands. I wouldn't roll around in the thorns in one, but they are truly impressive and you will definitely get people coming up to you just to cop a feel. All of the TOJ leathers are based in that black lamb, but the QDR just riffs on it the best. The padded and quilted details and dimension make you take notice of the leather quality.

When people say that girls won't stop touching you in your lamb jacket, they're not joking.

P.S. Drew, you're right. Black CWU was a perfect fit for me. Both jackets came out wonderfully. I need to take pics soon.

Do you really gain shoulder "width"? You gain mass there, but does it add in the lateral direction significantly? I once had a tailor tell me your shoulder measurement doesn't really change.

Haha I probably deserved this. I just meant I did not know if the "new" whiskey calf was different than the previous italian whiskey calf everyone liked so much (my impression was that it is). The gallery doesn't really differentiate (or I just didn't see it and fail). Also the only olive calf pics I could find were these and I wanted moar:

Guess I didn't mean shoulders, but pit to pit. Jacket almost cuts into my arm pit, but its still comfy. Just gotta be careful not to gain any more weight lol.

Anyways, the fit is actually really good, and the Suede is oh soo soft! I took maybe 5 min just touching the suede up and down of the jacket (lol). The color is also amazing! The stripes on the cuff are really vibrant and I love how it compliments the beige! However, I just wanted to know if it's normal that I can barely move my arms up? Everything feels pretty tight, and I'm worried that it might be too small for me. Hopefully, someone can convince me it would soften and loosen up a bit! If not, I have a size 44 for sale, and I'll be ordering another one biggrin.gif.
I just wanted to thank Drew, Charly and Dan for this amazing product! I had the TOJ AE, and the feel of the baseball is just soo much better nod[1].gif. No offense to the Varsity lovers shog[1].gif.

erm, the fit is actually really good and then you're selling it, because it's too small.
