I have to agree to a point--there is a reason why people opt for blacked out zippers or options like "no snaps" on DRs--the shiny hardware on black leather will lean towards biker-ish, moreso on DRs, even if it's cut nicely.  Some of it lends to just self-perception and some can pull it off better than others.

imo, the silver zips really shine when you pair it like the red, green or whiskey calf leathers, as the is contrast really nice--and no one is going to mistake those jackets as biker--definitely on the fashion end.

You could probably fit a 48, but I would go 50 if you want a little more relaxed look.  Personally, I think a varsity it looks better if you go up if you're in between sizes, as it's already cut pretty slim.

Couldn't find an answer anywhere in the thread- does the calf suede stretch at all? Just got my bball jacket today in the mail and the shoulders feel a hair too tight-- will this jacket loosen up a bit with break in?

After that fit pic of the latest duffel, and seeing as though i own one of the previous version (which i still love), i can honestly say it miles ahead of the previous versions.

Within the next couple of days i'm going to upload the continued evolution of my VTG MDR, sunlight permitting. This jacket slowly starting to resemble Tiger camo, with black wear lines striping through burnt orange leather. Quite amazing!

Hi there,

This will be my 7th ToJ jacket. I already emailed Charly. He said a 48 should work, but a 50 may also work better if I want a more relaxed fit. I want to consult with those who already own TOJ 1 jackets for their inputs since I know they run small. I hope I didn't upset you by asking the question on here. Thanks.

I would say that the TOJ1 is just the slightest bit smaller than a OG BBall jacket.
I got a 48 in the original BBall and bought a TOJ1 in 50 with -1 inch off of the sleeves and length from B&S. Even though i love my BBall (a tad tight) i think the 50 in the TOJ1 fits ever so slightly better. especially with the varsity style i would take a 50 with shortened lengths.

Just got my A-2, are these wrinkles common? I feel like my other jacket didn't come as or not wrinkled at all.

not wrinkles, enjoy dat grainzzz bro

Seems like some hides have a lot of it, some have a little.

I am personally hoping my jacket doesn't have a ton of it, but for some models and some aesthetic styles, the lamb grain looks fricking awesome.

I love love love my ToJ, even though it's hot as balls. Riding on the bike mitigates it a little, but all my shirts are pretty much soaked through by time I make it from Westwood to Koreatown. :/ Anyway, great job.
