harrison ford's jacket looks pretty legit there, fairly ;minimal but kinda military looking with the pockets on the arm and front.

i have no idea what i'm talking about though.

Just wanted to shout a thanks to the guys at TOJ for their work, wore my a2 first time today

Just wrote a big long post, but it got deleted, so here's the essence of it:

What I Would Like to See ToJ Make:

-Tech fabric jackets (you're in the land of tech, Drew!)
-The return of classic ToJ leather outers (Min. DR, DR, Moto, etc.)
-5-ZIP (I know it's sort of a sacred cow, designwise, but cotdamn is it one of the best designs ever)
I'd pay the retail price of a MMM 5-zip for a mtm TOJ version.

I like how TOJ 1.0 was all about pieces that have a long shelf life due to classic design. Hopefully this continues into 2.0, but I'd like to see a little risk taking with the designs, perhaps some departures from the public domain military styles. Something that represents a point of view other than "I like repro military outerwear"

Aside from the bomber and the MA-1, ToJ really hasn't really focused on military stuff. Even something in the direction of a double breasted wool greatcoat (US or British, WW1-2 era) would be comparatively adventurous.

It's pretty unlikely because of the capital costs needed to do an entire run (even without a custom last), but I'd love to see some decent boots. Something like a decent black or brown combat boot with a slim sole and good construction at a sane price would be pretty awesome. (ToJ x Red Wing backed out 10" iron ranger with a single stitched cap toe and rubber half sole? super plausible, right?)

What I'd really love to see is an attachable hood for current bombers and possibly down jacket like moncler stuff.

i really don't see the hype of the 5 zip. from the pictures i've seen online it really only looks good on a select few people (aka people who are skinny as fuck).
Would love the return of classics. As for something different, definitely leather bags with mixed materials in a classic design (something in the details to set it apart). A toj herringbone trouser? Herringbone shirt? herringbone anything... More leather accessories. Bracelets - not that hypebeast / raw denim shits that "age" - fckn water proof would be great cause people like me hate taking it off to shower

A Toj suit would be sick. Fashion foward without the annoying high button stance. Mixed materials on the jacket or interesting print that lets it be worn with just jacket or just pants.

can toj make... drapey shit?

It's a fantastic design.  There's two reasons it looks like shit on a lot of people that pick one up:

  1. It's cut with a ten inch drop, which not a lot of people can pull off.  Most of the guys that I've seen post bad fits with one had a slight beer gut.
  2. It looks better a little oversized up top, and again, most of the shitty fit pics went super slim fit in the chest/shoulders.

You don't have to be super skinny to wear it well, but it is still pretty body fascist in terms of the cut.

Interesting analysis, wonder if I'd look like a dweeb wearing one
