Just looking for some input, really having a hard time deciding on this:

Quilted Moto? 2-zip or 4-zip? Don't see a lot of them around.

Changed my mind from a brown lamb CWU to a brown A2.

for a 5'8" 140'ish lb dude with very normal proportions, where most size smalls off the rack fit good, 36 suit, etc......does this sound pretty legit for anyone similar sized with a bomber?:

shoulders 16.8"
chest (pit-to-pit) 20.7"
midsection 19.1"
waist 17.7"
body length, front 22.5"
body length, back 24.7"
sleeve length, from shoulder 25.0"
sleeve width @ pit 7.0"
sleeve width @ elbow 6.3"
sleeve width @ cuff 5.8"

I was surprised last night when I measured the circumference of my chest at 38" (seamstress tape, shirtless), seemed big, but what can ya do.


These were my actual body measurements using the pictorial guide:

Shoulders: 16.5"
Chest: 38" (circumference at widest point, an inch two above the nipple)
Mid section: 33"
Hip: 33.5"
Front Length: 21.5" (want to make sure it's not too short..)
Sleeve Length: 22.25" (would like slight stacking)
Bicep: 13.25"

i feel like everyone is realizing their desires to get a jacket with the hiatus/retirement of TOJ and the number of A2 orders has shot up, maybe just a perception skewed by my own wishes to get one. Too much loot to drop when I'm still awaiting delivery on the bball, very excited.

Slack tide, chest seems a bit big if you wear a 36 suit. You may want to get someone else to verify your measure of 38" since moving your arms to measure can change the shape of your chest. Also, your ARM measurement seems short, buy it looks like Charly took care of that for you.

There's no way the A2 isn't making a return in some form, and I fit pretty nicely in stock sizes anyways, so I'm just biding time

hmm...i'm 5'6" and have a 36" chest and my shoulders are the same size as yours. my shoulders are also considered normal (i take a small/JP 2/US 36/EU 46)...are you sure you measured your chest correctly?

It's definitely possible. i have really narrow shoulders for my size

The QDR is the brother of the 2010DR in terms of aggressiveness. Go for it.

I actually had my girlfriend measure me and I did this measurement several times as I thought 38" just seemed big. I am going to go back to the drawing board tonight though to confirm that. Maybe she wasn't pulling the tape snug enough. I wear a small in everything (even pretty slim stuff like w+h), and I just don't see how I could do that with a measured 38" chest circumference. I am thinking probably more accurately a 37" or 37.5".

Fit well for the most part, but was a little snug zipped up. I am thinking that maybe I just have a slightly wide chest for someone my height and weight.

Slack Tide: I think your chest measurement will be OK. You could lose maybe .5" but you will have better mobility and I don't think it's going to look off this way.

Sleeves do sound long, but you want them that way.

22.5 for front length sounds a little long (My bomber length is 21" and I'm 5'7")

And I just want to check about your waist/hip measurements. Did you do these with a belt and jeans on? For example, with this big ass belt I've got on, I just measured, it's 33.5" around the belt, and I wear size 28 for most jeans. It's probably fine, I just want to make sure you're good.

fuck its impossible to decide between 2 zip or 4 zip moto. Someone give me an awesome pic of someone wearing black 4 zip moto please, its hard to find one, whereas there are some people wearing the 2 zip moto nicely.

Slacktide, I had similar measurements (and about the same height and weight):
S2S: 16.5
Chest: 37 (on full inspiration or flexing)
Midsection: 29.5
Waist/hips: 33
Front length: 21
Sleeve length: 24?? Do I have gorilla arms?
Bicep: 12

My question is, how much should these be edited if we're getting a closely fitted coat, like the 2011 Moto? Also, is my arm length possible?

that's normal sleeve length...i'm 5'6" and i need a 23.5" to a 24"

I don't think you're supposed to measure your chest fully inhaled/flexed... at least I sure hope not.
