This would be true if the ribbed hem was "relaxed" when sewn onto the leather of the jacket. If it was stretched out when sewn, it would have the opposite effect of tightening the hem of the jacket even tighter than a moto's hem. I think that's how TOJ bombers are made, but I don't own one so correct me if I'm mistaken.

Mine are not stretched out and have quite a good bit of give in them. I just think it looks kinda funny, but whatever makes you happy.

i hate responses like this. and of course candrew feels he has sanctuary in saying this because Drew himself has lately been espousing a single zip. my theory is that it is purely a business thing, not aesthetic, because many people still like the two ways on the motorcycle jackets. and these YKK two ways are in no way harder to zip up, they're like butter. that or they don't make silver two ways
yeah, two way YKK's have different pull tabs as far as I know.

lol, rest assured Kent, the 1 extra zipper head is not denting the budget to the point of calling it a business decision... a zipper costs whatever, based on length and gauge; a zipper head is about 50 cents. When I said I prefer the look of one-way zips, I was not trying to pull some sort of fast one on the people.... ffffuuuu.gif

Yeah, I'm not just puffing up Drew's preferences, merely justifying my aesthetic interests. I believe Drew designs his jackets a certain way because he feels that's how he wants them to look. I may disagree or agree with whatever, that's the customer's privilege. I will only buy jackets that suit my needs and that I enjoy aesthetically.

I think the double zip on the A2 Bomber looks silly, aesthetically and functionally. That's all. Simple.

i think people have this false notion that drew's taste have to stay static.

I think people don't know enough about zippers to really justify this kind of conversation about them. ffffuuuu.gif

About to hit seven. I've had a rough week but tracking on friday would still make me cream myself. *fingers crossed*

Tracking! 4-zip moto (first toj) on the way.  Kind of annoyed Summer has hit the UK now.  Should be good for evenings tho.  Tempted to get something in olive/bottle green (if there's any left) before cut-off.

Sick--any idea how long shipping might take?

Hoping to be able to see a pic before I place the order (just to soothe my trepidation about the 3 vs 4 choice)
