hmmm... odd. Both of my TOJ lamb jackets started smooth and developed lines and wrinkles with wear (and weather/rain).

Is the silver hardware available easily, just not on the website?

When I ordered last week, I was given the option of silver.  I chose the regular gunmetal tho.  When the gunmetal runs out, it's out.

Does anyone own the fishtail and can comment on the warmth. I'm facing a winter in Siberia (0) and I would like to do it in TOJ, but am wondering whether the fishtail, maybe with a down vest underneath would be sufficient or is TOJ not the way to go?

Any comments would be appreciated.

What kind of footwear do you usually wear with your black jackets?

Pretty much the only thing that holds me back from a black leather jacket is the fact that I don't have any black shoes that aren't dress shoes. I've never liked the look of black shoes with indigo denim and as such all of my casual shoes are either colored (like red chucks) or brown (dark work boots, beeswax dbs, brown suede, etc).

i pretty much just wear black laceups/sidezips with my black cm, but i also pretty much only own black shoes so yeah

If you're wearing indigo denim all the time and don't have any black/gray/white shoes, get a brown jacket over black.

I think brown shoes are fine with black jackets, if the brown isn't warm. White sneakers are the best option.

My med grey mdr is mostly veiny on the scalloped hems on the sleeves / bottom and the underside of the lapel

I'm debating between MDR and Artishard- I don't much like the look of the nipple snaps, which leads me towards artishard, but I'm worried that the collar will behave oddly without them. Any experiences/ recommendations? I know Drew left them on a minimal jacket for a reason, I'm just a minimalist at heart...

The snaps still exist on the artishard...they are simply hidden.

Edit...at least that's how mine arrived...and I'm glad of it.

Did not realize this. Now I just need to get another paycheck or two, and I can order...

The snaps aren't over your nipples...

This might be the case, but i dont remember it being this dramatic the first time i checked it out. It might just become more apparent with wear, or I didn't examine it as well as I should have. Either way, I really like the look, and I'm hoping that these hints of veiny lines on my TOJ1's sleeves become just as dramatic. satisfied.gif

Don't have time for two. Less than a month left to order. June 1.
