I thought I had read that too but seems like the quote before yours suggest green calf is good for QDR.

I thrashed a cheap All Saints jacket jumping into bushes one night. And tore through another one while hopping freight trains in Utah. I have an old Harley Davidson perfecto-style (from the 50's) that I had to tailor but that thing is damn near bullet proof. Anyway, I like to beat up my clothes and while TOJ lamb is buttery soft and all that, I'm considering something more substantial for the QDR.

EDIT: Thanks Drew, you snuck in and answered my questions while I was typing. I'm definitely not opposed to owning another lamb TOJ.

Hey Drew, can I get an answer on this? smile.gif

They are the same leather

Not too worried about the switch from mtm to off-the-rack at all. What has always appealed to me about ToJ is the transparency, cut, and quality. I like that Drew can update a design without adding useless embellishments, ripping off, or hybridizing ideas that really should remain separate. The spirit of TOJ seems to be in turning out aesthetically pleasing, and well made clothes based on classics, but with updates here and there that give the idea new life and a better experience for the owner.

Random idea, but it would be cool to see you guys put out a sick black trench with mode details and a masculine cut. ToJ leather, horn, and waterproof Japanese fabric...

if you want a-1 get brown

if you want black go for cwu w/ ribbed collar

Would be too cool with leather epaulets&collar stand (hi TOJ peacoat), as well as raglan sleeves. satisfied.gif

No raglan sleeves, would fuck it up.

Need that strong shoulder.

+1 gotta make it look crisp

I realize this would probably make me look more like a vampire and less like blade...

dark navy option with some brown/navy leather trim (leather under collar a la toj pcoat) would clearly say I'm fucking crisp, but I'm not a banker. or a flasher...
