Im guessing the jeans that are being made will be offered in raw only, no washes?

someone find my prophetic post about TOJ offering one of everything in drew's platonic wardrobe

^ I was actually just thinking of that when the t-shirt talk came up (not sure whether that part's going to be a reality), then the shoes, now the jeans.

Can you give us more information on some of your other plans Drew? - Quite keen to hear more about the sunglasses & new jacket ideas.

I'm excited about the chinos and the trousers. I don't get this whole obsession with raw denim though; what so great about pants that stain eveything blue and you can't wash.puzzled.gif There are enough indigo blue jeans out there anyway, would be great to see some other colours.

4 years of near everyday wear, so past their prime in contrast, but machines and artificial distressing can't come close to the level of detail and color gradation like this:

They stop bleeding color after a couple washes anyway, so no worries.

not sure myself, as you can see with the recent discussion, plans are reliant on the realities of life. Having moved to Japan, I can take advantage of a few really strong quality propositions, like some of the textile, the jeans, I think glasses are great (but traditionally expensive, so we won't be making a ton of them, they're a pet project for me because I don't wear sunglasses but I would if I could make the ones I want) and then there are some small makers of things that are pretty much all handmade and custom, who I am seeking out. We'll continue to make the leathers and stuff in Korea as I've said, because that is a quality proposition, but there were things we couldn't really make in Korea that I want done and now that I'm Japan, I can get the ball rolling on those.

Today, though, my plans are to visit my past and see a dream come true - in a couple hours I shall be going to the Tokyo Auto Salon. devil.gif 15 years ago I picked up some car magazines, flipped through them, discovered this wild car show in Japan where they were girls in bikinis and all these crazy trendsetting cars... it was ricer heaven. Many years I've come and gone from Japan (my interest having been conceived over that one magazine article in like, 1996) , but I was never here around the time TAS happens, so finally, I shall go and knock one off the bucket list.

These were the good old days of imagination and design:
