Bags, Trousers, and jackets in new fabrics? icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Don't know about the leather jacket with a hood but I've always been interested in some kind of vest with leather detailing and a detachable hood. Perhaps a down vest.

It's obviously not expensive, since you see tons of cheap down products all the time, but at the same time they have to make thousands of copies, and we don't just use the cheap stuff just because it's the cheap stuff - I choose the material viability based on the quality of it first, and then availability comes second and decides whether it can be used or not.

To continue on that post about down vests above, Drew is specifically working on new items for SS only right now.

That said, and given the issues with using down, when the time is right I still would love to see a mixed-material vest, even if it had a poly fill. biggrin.gif

Reversible would be even better nod[1].gif

Excited to see what Drew is cooking up for SS though

Thanks tween. I actually do remember that post and had that in mind when posting above. It was just an option that I knew he wouldn't do.

I'm still very interested what he's going to come out with using the new materials. All of this trouser talk is kind of "meh" for me. Chino, a little more interesting. Waxed cotton? Oh fuck yes.

Chino is never interesting.

Me, I'd like to see the chesterfield make a comeback or a similar a bit longer coat as it's getting rather cold over here. I was recently watching BBC's Sherlock miniseries and the Belstaff coat (alas, discontinued and very expensive) he wears in that is awesome with a unique texture. There are plenty of plain coats around but afaik few with some subtle texture to the fabric.

personally would like to see some next-level jacket for the waxed and oiled cloths. would be great to see field jackets (a la barbour bedale) and/or a hooded coat (fishtail or hoodcoat)

isnt it logical to make a waxed cotton trench?

would buy.

Looks like I need to make another ToJ purchase so you better come up with some awesome stuff (not that I am worried you wouldnt). but to be honest, i love all the selfshot mirror toj pic in fact thats what really convinced me to buy a ToJ in the first place. I'll be in Japan this year btw. so in case you need a fit model I would be glade to help.

Don't do it Drew. Continue making small sample sizes!
