Not really worth bothering with leather on pants, or any non-washable/cleanable material - if there were a 'TOJ uniform' then the way to wear and clean your uniform would be to wear the leather jackets and simply avoid abrading them, and spot clean it with wet naps if you want. Rinse in the shower if you're crazy. Everything else beyond your shoes, you should wash normally and regularly, I don't think clothes are really clothes if you can't clean them somehow. Clothes are supposed to have commodity. I wash my jeans like once a month or more. I would make clothes guided along the same principles, I think they're mostly reasonable.

Kind of interested in making the TOJ trousers, as they're slightly aggressive fitting and something not really offered by anyone else. For one, they're elastic waisted, and really comfortable. I used to wear the prototype TOJ trousers when I'd go out to eat and drink a lot, lol. I will see. They're pretty fun, strangely addictive once tried, if I could make more pants like these I'd probably wear jeans a lot less.

Can make a short pants version of them as well, we did once as a sample. Would like to see more test fits of the sample before I determine their viability.

Would like to make jeans and have wanted to for awhile, but that is a pretty huge undertaking for little in return. Everybody has jeans. I still can't find the exact jeans I want on the market. I know how they'd look and everything, but it'd be a costly project. I guess it's worth an inquiry if it means possibly filling out the TOJ look.

they'd be pretty awesome for just sitting around an office looking styling as fuck, while secretly being really, really comfortable.

I think I will probably release them in navy, grey, and maybe black depending on input. They're not a design that is particularly suited to crazy plaids or anything and we don't have great access to that stuff anyway.

I would love a nice slim fitting pair of trousers. Aside from my old raf ones, I really haven't found a cut yet that I've been crazy about.

^ agree with all of this.

does lambskin become softer as you wear it, or the opposite?

Hopefully comfortable means slightly fuller top block along with the elastic waist? shog[1].gif

Looks like the trousers and shorts are gonna be on soon. 95% the same (same pattern) as the ones you see in the toj-gallery. Different colors this time, little bit different with the side tabs and stuff, but the basics are there. They will come unhemmed so that you can do them to your own taste as they will work at many lengths.
