The new official TOJ thread, 2011 - Page 974

Reading Syn's story, in addition to going down to South Coast Plaza today, makes me that more ambitious to get paid by any possible way. As bad of a rep the Cayman receives, I'd gladly take one. Dream is still a white 997 on silver TechArt wheels though.

I wore the black DR 2010 today, felt funny when walking into all the high end fashion house stores, ie Prada, Gucci, etc. Also ToJ never fails to receive compliments. Funny how one's perception can change in a year. When I initially received my DR 2010 I thought the sleeves were too full and thought about getting work done on it. Now, I think it's quite nice.

there is already darting on all the rider's with 4 panels across the back... we just don't taper them in so much because that would lead to some really awkward fits...

I was thinking we'd ignore the fringe. It definitely needs a little something. Perhaps some buckled sleeves or even some crazy evolution of the baseball jacket.

M-65 please.

If I order a fishtail before the end of the month, will I get it before spring? I'm seriously wondering if it's such a good idea to get one at this point. I think that if I don't, it may end up cold before they become available later this year. I might as well buy it and just have it ready.

If you truly want it, do it. I bought my peacoat around April or so last year because I got the heads up that it was being discontinued. I received it when the weather got warmer. It sat in my closet from the time I received it until about 2 weeks ago. I could've ordered it later since the peacoat did make a return, but that was not certain until much later on.

If you skip on this because of seasonal reasons you may regret it if this piece gets discontinued and don't make a return.

Sorry to derail the speculating, but here is a quick update of the progress of my VTG MDR. We had a couple of 40 degree weather days, and that has contributed to the awesome development to the jacket. It's become a lot softer now and barely makes any noise at all. The sleeve accordions are starting to come in. These are just a couple of quick pics after work.

Will the sample sale be before or after the Chinese new years hiatus?

wow dude, looks amazing. Did not expect that, wow. Certainly a few shades darker than I'd expected these to get, I'm sure the sun helped quite a bit. You should let it go like that for awhile and see how wear factors into it, I suspect it will look quite nice.

+1. That's going to have an amazing patina. I wish I could pull that jacket off.

The average size of the men in this thread continues to amaze me.

you are a tiny man compared to many who've bought from TOJ, Rambo.
