Got my very first compliment on my varsity today by some random middle-age dude, riding MUNI. Dude even had to pinch the leather...took me off guard. He was like "custom-made?" and I was just like "yeah."

 

Now only if it did the same with random girls...haha

Yes, I brush it quite a bit now, but do not intend to do that much in that future.
I feel it helps the breaking in process a bit, but I might be wrong here.

I have applied 2 thin coats of Obenauf's oil, and planning on doing another, as i have been baking this jacket in the Aussie sun. For every bake i oil it back up and wear it around the house.
After this last oil I'm going to put a thin coat of bees wax as a finisher.
The jacket is already looking awesome, here's a couple of progress shots.

Went to a party wearing my MDR, ended up being a total sausage fest. At least three dudes came up to caress the leather, so weird

Has anyone noticed that since dressing like styleforum, you have been attracting lots of homo attention, even when hetero?

I don't know what 'dressing like StyleForum' means, but I can kind of relate. Albeit, the compliments and questions don't come specifically from men, but rather women as well. Women seem to love the bombers, and the fellas ask about the DRs.

There would be times when I stop by different stores to shop or make payments and SAs would compliment the clothes and ask where I got them from. In regards to ToJ, 4 dudes have asked me for the website.


IMO it doesn't take much to attract the public's attention. You can shop exclusively at Banana Republic or J. Crew and still out-dress and stand out from the majority of the guys out there.

My jacket was shipped on the 27th, and the latest tracking information states it's arrived in Vancouver on the 28th. You guys think I will get my TOj1 today? I wanna fucking wear it so bad!
