Do it. You'll immediately realize you should've ordered one in the beginning (And by one, I mean five).

It's way too dark outside now, and I don't want indoor pics for this beauty. Tomorrow afternoon I'll try to get some good ones. Luckily, since I'm home, I have the option to use my dad's Nikon dslr or my s95, whichever will do the peacoat justice.

I actually didn't, but I'm really happy it came that way as I usually only zip my jacket halfway unless it's necessary. I used to wear my MA-1 half zipped, but it looked like it would be fully zipped from far away because the placket was full length.

Anyone order a new fishtail? I'm wondering if I should get one or just wait to see what new stuff comes along this spring with the new fabrics. I think I'd rather have a field jacket or something similar instead of a parka since it hardly dips below 50 here, and even that's not really cold.

As it seems that first VTG jackets are being shipped now, would you have some last minute advice before we start messing up our jackets?
I'm personally pretty keen to hear more about the soaking process.
Why did you do it? To shape the collar?
Would you do it again?
Any new oil/wax products you have tried on your jacket?
