Pretty sure I'll just start as basic as possible- tee, raw denim, black boots. Then I'll work from there. I liked Skitlet's idea with his MDR a page or two back, but I'd work with a different color scheme/cut

I actually used to wear a leather jacket with spikes and pins and shit back in my punk days (I was like 15). Ahhhhhhhh yea those were good times

Ahhh yea I actually intend on trying to replicate that look. White BD under my Miharayasuhiro fair isle sweater, maybe some chinos and then boots

How long is the waiting time for a mdr? and also what looks better black & blacked out hardware or just silver hardware? cant decide.

I dig the gunmetal hardware, a little more contrast on the jacket than straight black. My wait time was like 8 weeks

i find black zippers look a bit...cheap.

Although i haven't seen them in person, they're probably quite nice.

Supposedly they're nice. I also got the gunmetal hardware. Wore my jacket out in heavy downpour once during a long walk home from Oktoberfest. Not sure what's going on with the zippers now. Though it doesn't seem to be rust, they're developing a really interesting uneven red/orange color of them...Looks a bit like bloody teeth of a beast. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

The blacks are matte anodized, so they don't picture well. They're very cold and metal looking in person though. Not powdercoated, I don't do that. They're full-on torched blacked looking, kind of charred turning to rainbow as they fade.

i prefer gunmetal zips on the 2010 DR but black zips suit the minimalist design of the MDR really well (since there are less bells and whistles). the black hardware looks much better in person than on pictures imo - the main zipper is coated in a really nice matte finish which looks amazing.

This is how I saw it too, and why I bought a blacked out MDR from ya! I think the DR has way too many zippers/buttons for it to be blacked out, but it makes sense with the MDR, which is much more understated to begin with
