still quite different actually, the washed black was still black, the dark grey is more like having black paint and dropping a few parts white and mixing it in. Still, the dark grey is very dark, and it's as close as you can get to being black without actually being black.

It's hard to make those things not look like a Wilson's leather $30 leather mall backpack.

Not sure if nahneun or anyone else wants this anymore, but I suddenly do.

if you could see my MMM leather in person, this question is not even a question - the jacket looks cool because it's been worn to death for almost 12 years, but it's not high quality. The MMM calf is about one to one with the TOJ stuff on the topside finish though I might be edging the MMM out a bit, it's hard to tell since there isn't an unwrinkled spot on my MMM anywhere (our calf is near flawless in the hide and we pay a huge premium for that) but the MMM is very thin for calf, not even 3oz, more like 2oz (about 0.6-8mm, it's really quite thin), the lining is cheap cotton+viscose (that has gaping holes all over, and I have to stuff the strands of sleeve lining back into the sleeves), all the seams around the zippers and placket are just sewn and then excess edges are cut - when the seams break away from the stitching there's nothing to do about repairing it cleanly that way.
The jacket is missing the little flashing details of leather that 'hide' the zips like on my TOJ jackets, etc, and the folded over/sewn seams. The MRS zippers are nice on the MMM, but pound for pound the YKK Japans are about as good functionally - which is why MMM themselves moved to the same YKK zips later on. If you ever look at the Junya X Vanson leathers, you see they use the same exact front zip as we do. It's the same part in a bright finish.

Any chance you'll soon have one you can snap a pic of?

probably not, unless someone orders one. It's gonna look like a black jacket, just one shade lighter in the photo anyway man.

Ok, let me get my measurements tomorrow and get things started. I'll be the guinea pig. It'll have the same pocket zips as the medium grey you posted, right? I like them a lot. And they're antique colored or gunmetal?

any available or scheduled post time for sample sale? I have a three hour drive home, and I don't want to miss it.

I'll put it up after 3 hours or more, then. I took the pics for it but I'm gonna edit them, gotta measure stuff, it'll take me a little bit of time still.

yes and yes, the gunmetal = antique, we use both terms for the same thing. It's just an aged silver. After awhile it oxidizes to several colors, a bit of bronze, silver, some very minute tinges of rainbow from the bronze oxidization. They get very nice looking over time.

Move to Europe. I drove a STEADY 180 kmh anytime (110 mph) I was on the autobahn, and peaked at about 240 kmh if the roads were empty. The way they maintain the roads in Germany, it felt like I wasn't even moving that quick.

I wish I could.. =\\ I thought I had a ticket-proof system, but it failed me that time.

The fastest I've gone on the highway at a constant speed was around 145 mph (~234 kph) with absolutely no one around at around 3:30 am. I tried pushing it to the onboard limiter (170 mph) but I got scared. lol.
