I think it's vice versa man, Woodyear is trying any way possible to get my attention, but his points are sensational, to say the least... Everybody gets some of my attention in this thread, but most don't need to scream for it.. redface.gif

Your problem, I have realized, is not the midsection - its that your measurement set went with a longer length and so the extra length in the back is sitting on top of your butt, instead of being able to fall down naturally where it's supposed to be.

Thanks Drew, just got your email. The tailor I took it to has offered to mark up the jacket for me (would that help?) what's the best thing to mark it with? Chalk?

That was Charly, my name on the TOJ email ID is on there because Google was disallowing non-human entities on Google+...
anyway, your tailor should have the appropriate pen. Ours uses a special silver pencil that comes off easily with a damp cloth. Your tailor probably has the same.

Wait so Charley is a non-human AI programmed for ToJ?

No, Charly is the friendly meathead with an interest in clothes that I employ so that he can tell people they follow the measurement directions incorrectly and that they need to remeasure their shoulders. redface.gif

I'm getting much closer to this nowadays. I have wanted to make one, but it's about getting the material content just right. I feel like it's getting close though...

Dbear and I figured the CM size out in two easy steps - he gave me the measurements from his last MTM TOJ leather, showed me a fit pic where I could see how it fit, and then we went with the same thing but adjusted to his taste.
Anybody can do the same thing if they measure a slim fitting jacket, send the measurement set to Charly, and then show him a fit pic. It is not rocket science. There have been a lot of good fits lately, I sized those people using a few different methods but they achieve the same result.

Oh dayum! I wish you did this for me. shog[1].gifsmile.gif

Well, it did turn out great. I think I pretty much gave you measurements, asked you to make it fit better and it looks like it did. biggrin.gif

Well, parkas with some leather contrast seem to be pretty popular.

Any plans for S/S outerwear from TOJ?

lots (well, a few) of S/S outerwear pieces on my mind. I am in the process of making some different fabrics happen, but I don't really want to start discussion on that stuff yet. It's not near ready to talk about, because you know as well as I do at this point.
