i think my chest is around 41". dont have a tape measure here though so not sure.

for reference my moto is a stock 48 and is perfect. 50 would definitely have been too big in that.

Going to the sand dunes NP as soon as it's spring and warm enough to camp on the sand. I'll probably wrestle some bears and hike a few mountains. Climb the tallest dunes, shout a challenge to the world, etc.

Be sure to purposely tie your shoelaces together. A lot of falling = a lot of patina. Hahahaha.

Thanks DBear and Mirrorball. It just sounds like people were sizing down on the leathers (to account for stretch?) hence the TOJ1 not fitting. I guess I will cross that bridge when I eventually buy a bomber.

Got my 4th TOJ, and first varsity today.  I had gone with a size 50 in my MA-1 and it was super tight, so got kinda spooked, and went with a size 52 + some added sleeve and body length.  This one is definitely more wearable, though I still think my sweet spot TOJ size would be  a 51, as this ones a little boxy/loose with just a t-shirt one.  With a few layers, it fills out perfectly though.  6'3", 165lbs for reference.

Anyways, happy overall.  If the looseness bugs me, maybe I'll consider tailoring it a bit, but I think once it breaks in it'll be fine.

absolutely poifect. collar is in good proportion to your physical stature. as is the rest of the jacket for that matter.

almost looks like snake skin on the shoulder in that profile shot
