ah forgot, there is no green in that pic, that is the blue. The green looks like a tree leaf in the summertime.

Thinking of making a buckleless all-leather strap like a classic Levy's, but a bit narrower... in Italian bridle leather or something like that. Saw Eric Clapton the other day and he had a nice natural leather strap with a bit of patina on it and it dawned on me that I could make straps. also, here is a pic of the Seabag I took on a chair (sans rope), another view:

The issue between belts and guitar straps is that guitar straps need no hardware (most guitarists I know, myself included, use strap locks; or they just use the strap buttons on the body) whereas belts would need a buckle, keeper, etc. Which would make it more difficult for Drew & Co. to manufacture belts. I obviously have no inside information, so I can't say either way whether it will happen, but that's where I see the advantage of guitar straps over belts.

<-- plays guitar, but also prefers skinny guitar straps (with adjustment buckle and shoulder pad)

We're gonna make some belts sometime. We have the resources to make the thick 10oz+ bridle leather belts but frankly there are already a lot of those out there and I've never found that look attractive, that may be because I'm not the biggest guy and a 10oz 2.5" wide belt with huge buckle frankly looks silly on my size 28 jeans, as I imagine it does for a lot of dudes. A case of overkill there. I prefer smaller, minimal belts myself, in soft leather that doesn't kill you when you sit down, so that is what I'll be going for.

As for guitar straps, just a fun thing I thought of and I don't even know how much they'd cost to make so it's not set in stone, but I play guitar and Charly does too, and some friends do as well, so it was gonna be a fun project.
I also figured in having an optional pocket on the backside for holding a wireless box in case people were serious performers, etc. I prefer no buckles because I usually end up nicking the corners of my guitars with those things, and you have tone careful about casing/bagging the guitars with straps like that, so I've always preferred the all-leather straps myself.

^ All leather would be cool, but it def needs a shoulder pad. I'm a bass player mostly, the weight + thin straps kill my shoulder.

First thoughts:
Fox fur is removable, not that you would want to take it off. Very warm, pockets are nice and big (and lined). I can only get the hood to "stay up" properly if the top buttons are done. Going to test this out in some Canadian winter!

that's exactly the kind of belt i'm looking for.

1.25-1.5" wide in black and medium brown, maybe also a natural color. dress belt.
simple hardware, high quality.
