Men's long hairstyle

Thread Starter
Well, I'm new all this. Despite having had longish (shoulder length) hair for a while I've never "done anything" with it so please bare with me while I'll ask stupid questions. :P

I'm wondering how to style my hair like the guy in the image below. Specifically the bit I've circled in red. Is it just how it's been straightened, is there a special technique to it? Or will I need to use some other product too?

Any advice is appreciated,
Trippyone.

This! Oh lawd! I'm growing my hair out too, but I'm going for this look (less the douchy Bono shades):

I honestly laughed out loud...then I felt bad. This is slightly low. He was a great writer/philosopher.

Lemon Juice. A tablespoon will do it. Work it into the hair, style, let dry.
Once dry it will hold just like hairspray, and it's natural and harmless to your hair.

I would say go to a salon and tell them to DEEP POINT CUT IT (NO BLUNT CUTTING), then do that each time you have it cut. you can do this with short or long and looks great either way.

Be a man get a mullet, 'business out the front party out the back.' The other option is to tie it back in a pony tail I think there due for a revival.
