Gingham? Yes. Red? Probably not, if I want to wear gingham I'll go with navy.

I'm wearing a spread collar red gingham shirt with a plain navy tie today, with a navy 3-pc suit.

Yes, definitely. Especially since Red and White are my school colors.

It's not for me, but I think it's perfectly acceptable.

BTW, I think NY Ranger looks good in his. It's fun.

Tried to order one from MT but they are out of stock.

There is a great b&w photo of Cary Grant in what I guess to be a navy gingham open neck shirt and navy blazer (unfortunately he's smoking) that I am gonna try and emulate one day. I have an aversion to open neck shirts but this picture might encourage me to finally take the plunge.

Absolutely! My elementary school uniform was red gingham shirt and navy shorts for boys and red gingham shirt and navy skirts for girls. So, I've some rather fond memories (and pictures) of the pattern.

Grey flannel trousers, chocolate suede brogues. Dark green madder silk bow tie if you want to prep it up.

I wear one on occasion and can always count on someone making the "table cloth" comment, but I couldn't care less. I like the look though with a navy tie.

Here's a pic I posted last year of the combo.

It really depends on the size of the check and the color. I said maybe. Not my favorite shirt, but if I found a nice one that worked, I would try it.
