I like Perry Farrell's former house in Venice. Modern Cali. At $1.5million, it was an amazing value - almost unheard of on the West Side. Usually, places for 1.5M are a "Handyman's Dream". That's what...around $21K a month on a 30 year? http://www.redfin.com/CA/Venice/2008...1/home/6744233

Very cool property. A bit beyond what I can afford at the moment for a 2nd home, which is a pity. Not too many great values to be found in LA.
