It always amazes me that these houses are relatively cheap. If you see what you can get for the same money near Amsterdam... It's no comparison, between 1,5 - 3 million euros you get a nice/decent home. But nothing near the cribs shown in the OPs link.

+1. Same as here.

1.5M USD will get you a small, but nice house in lots of parts of the country (northern NJ, southwestern CT, many parts of CA). It amazes me how 3M can get you Dio's pad but a doctor could pay the same thing for a large McMansion.

That's the reason we left Europe for America. So we could have nice comfortable houses (and, McMansions).

Looking at Kanye's house... I doubt that's how the interior looked when he lived there.

Dio's house isn't bad. Wallpaper and floors are pretty ugly. Kanye's is a little too modern for me.

Maybe not for Disney land.

I have never got the point of building something new that is supposed to look old or be "period" whether that is Spanish colonial, Louis XIV, Victorian a medieval Castle or what ever it might be that people come up with.

In the end it 99.99% of the time looks as good as Astro turf for your front lawn.
