The Scott Hill Experience!

I just had a most unusual clothing experience. I hate to use the word ultimate, but this is as close as you can get! I had the privilege of having legendary retailer Scott Hill come to my home and bring an entire men's clothing store!
Scott is unveiling a new business that I think is unique and incredible benefit to gentlemen everywhere.

Scott comes to your home or office and you experience the benefit of his experience, contacts with the highest quality Neapolitan clothing and shoe sources available.

And that's only one of the unique aspects - Scott brings samples of suits, fabrics, shirts, buttons, shoes, belts and his expertise in fitting you and an amazing ability to coordinate it all just for you.

No tailor can provide the complete look like Scott does.

Again it's the highest quality and is priced such but Scott can provide these brands at a price much lower than you would pay in stores plus you get Scott's experience in fitting you perfectly.

This is such a different way of doing business that I've devoted a page about my experience and what Scott Hill can do for you:

Mr. Hill's behavior is of course inexcusable, beyond the pale, and, by all appearances, criminal.

However, perhaps you can educate us as to the agreement you had with him in terms of your business relationship? I presume he offered you a substantial discount from his 'list' price? You no doubt wanted him to advertise on your site?

While I appreciate your airing of Mr. Hill's failure to deliver promised (and paid for) goods, I think you may also be at fault for your seeming lack of transparency in dealing with and promoting vendors.

+1

Didn't take long for his site to get a bit hacked.

BESPOKE BLOG > Fraud

Scott Hill is nothing but a thief and a fraud. The man took my money in advanced over a year ago and he has not delivered on his merchandise after promising 4-6 weeks delivery.

The man does not respond to email or phone calls. AVOID AT ALL COST.

^^lol. http://www.scotthillbespoke.com/bespoke-blog/ "I have been looking for Scott Hill for 6 years. He was molesting children, and just as the evidence was discovered, he left town. He kept his name out of the yellow pages and directories, and only now has he been found. I am certain it is the same man, I could recognize those teeth anywhere. I have heard reports he is up to his old games in los angeles, but he will be found."

As a former fifth grader, I take offense at your aspersions.

Lesson: Ordering in Bespoke is not equivalent to ordering in a Massage. Although in both cases, one has a good chance of getting screwed.
Sorry you got screwed Andy. On the other hand you should be more careful who you promote via your website. You getting screwed through some sponsorship deal gone bad is one thing. Someone else getting screwed because they looked this person up because of your overly enthusiastic (shill) post is another thing entirely.

In Andy's defense, Scott Hill was a respected retailer who owned very well regarded stores, for many years, in the LA area.

It's funny that Scott Hill would deride "jobbers", since I know for a fact that he dealt with many of them for a number of years. That's biting the hand that feeds.

That said, Styleforum has an explicit policy to not officially endorse any product or company, nor do we ever review any product for compensation of any sort. It's just a lot better this way, for obvious reasons.

Surely it's a tax write-off for Andy ... so partially covered.

In that email it sounded like he was slamming the bargain hunter that buy from the jobbers and not the jobbers themselves.

andy, sorry to hear

does your encyclopaedia of mens clothes have reviews of retailers??

if it does, I will order a copy, as having your discerning reviews literally at my fingertips will serve as a great reference when i shop for clothes!

best regards,
