I think this is pretty self-explanatory:

Andy, your jacket, Incotex pants, and sweater vest will arrive before the end of the month. My intentions are to continue to provide the balance if the order; so you can experience and enjoy.

To tell you my thoughts; it does not seem that the "Ask Andy" millions of customers are truly a client for these high end custom garments. From the hours I've spent on the sight.. I feel that the lion's share of the members are looking for deals .. And that most of their limited information about luxury, high end sartorial products.. comes from jobbers, ...

The sight does not seem like the right fit to do marketing or advertising for Scott Hill Bespoke Designs.
...

I will contact you in 2 weeks, when last components hit.. and will provide. No need to post anything about the products or final delivery to your members; as this is not my target customer.

Respectfully, Scott Hill

You promised him something, he promised you something, and then realized that it wasn't a good match and pulled out.

I'm remembering Darwood What's-his-name ... Beaman.

The Scott Hill Experience!

I just had a most unusual clothing experience. I hate to use the word ultimate, but this is as close as you can get! I had the privilege of having legendary retailer Scott Hill come to my home and bring an entire men's clothing store!
Scott is unveiling a new business that I think is unique and incredible benefit to gentlemen everywhere.

Scott comes to your home or office and you experience the benefit of his experience, contacts with the highest quality Neapolitan clothing and shoe sources available.

And that's only one of the unique aspects - Scott brings samples of suits, fabrics, shirts, buttons, shoes, belts and his expertise in fitting you and an amazing ability to coordinate it all just for you.

No tailor can provide the complete look like Scott does.

Again it's the highest quality and is priced such but Scott can provide these brands at a price much lower than you would pay in stores plus you get Scott's experience in fitting you perfectly.

This is such a different way of doing business that I've devoted a page about my experience and what Scott Hill can do for you:

Mr. Hill's behavior is of course inexcusable, beyond the pale, and, by all appearances, criminal.

However, perhaps you can educate us as to the agreement you had with him in terms of your business relationship? I presume he offered you a substantial discount from his 'list' price? You no doubt wanted him to advertise on your site?

While I appreciate your airing of Mr. Hill's failure to deliver promised (and paid for) goods, I think you may also be at fault for your seeming lack of transparency in dealing with and promoting vendors.

Why you promote scott hill before you receive first order?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit eating Orville Redenbacher.

woah, SF, AAAC and FNB all together in one thread

I just checked out this guy's (Scott Hill) website. It looks like he had a fifth grader edit for both grammar and content. He also uses "sight" in place of "site" several times in the email communication posted by the SF member. That bush league site is a huge red flag, if you ask me.

Jovan's a moderator over there?

Oh and opcorn:

So far two people with less than five posts hate Scott Hill.

edit: this post does not condone nor endorse any of Scott Hill's products. the author of above post was too lazy to click on any link and cannot be held liable for any errors forthwith, henceforth and so forth.

Someone needs to invite Scott for a "fitting" then proceed to piss on his merchandise.

The difference is that while Beaman was doing business independently for the first time, Scott Hill has been around for decadss and had his name on several stores.

I have no connection to Hill (or Beaman, although once he did tell me that my trousers hung well).

In all my adult life, failing to communicate has had poorer consequences than delivering even the worst news.

Ain't that the truth.

See Andy, this is where I rip you off...har har har.

MY guess: He had good intentions but neither a good business plan nor the financial backing to deliver. This is sad. His failure to communicate is, however, unforgivable. Unless, of course, the man is dead.
