One is pretty hard, but my top three without any order are:

Once Upon A Time In The West

The Proposition

The Wild Bunch

cmd06, those are brilliant picks. The Proposition haunts me more than almost any other movie and is definitely a top 5 for me.

And for all you Good/Bad/Ugly proponents out there, I suggest you take a few hours this weekend and watch Once Upon a Time in the West. Maybe watch it twice actually, and I think most of you will agree that it's the superior movie. I do love my Clint Eastwood but Bronson kills it and Claudia Cardinale in that movie is flat-out one of the hottest women in the history of cinema. Angelina Jolie in her prime didn't have anything on Claudia.

I put The Wild Bunch in my top 10, but not top 3.

And lastly, here's to hoping James Franco knocks Blood Meridian out of the park.

Probably nobody's favorite, but John Ford's cavalry trilogy deserve a mention at least, particularly Fort Apache.

I vote for the Good the Bad and the Ugly for its influence on subsequent films in the genre.
