Kilmer's portrayal of Holliday is excellent. Always a big debate whether he or Victor Mature in My Darling Clementine did a better job. Mature's portrayal is most realistic to the real Holliday.

I look on it as a meta-Western.

Btw, Val's Doc Holiday is one of the most memorable performances of the 90s, IMO.
