yeah, to be fair, most Japanese brands DO seem to come in large waist sizes (well, basically 'standard' US / European sizes to us).

My only trouble is the inseam length on these brands unfortunately.

But you can get up to 40 waist in Warehouse and other brands I believe.

(I have definitely seen Warehouse, maybe others can shed light on the other brands with large waists)

I Have a pair of RRDS myself.

The one Japanese REPRO I have that somehow fits your requirements is the Pure Blue Japan XX-003. Have a look at it and try it on before you buy it. The crotch area is pretty tight and the fabric is VERY VERY slubby (Can be itchy!).

See that's what I'm trying to avoid, I don't want anything to be tight. The rrds is cool but something slightly more slouchy and a little wider at the bottom would do me just right. I'm not sure about the 12" rise on the sorahikos though
