Are you over gingham and flannels - Page 4

This thread is useless without people sticking their necks out and posting some decent plaids. I'll start with one. SE's Travis with a decent plaid on the left.

I like those looks. I think they would have killed it with knickers instead of cuffed shorts. I like the plaid.

Here's the Schneider flannel one I was referring to:

really like this check shirt but the price is insane...

Like someone else said, I am always interested in plain/solid flannels during the fall, and am still into gingham as well. I still buy plaid flannels, but tend to go for the more "unique" patterns that are brand/item specific, such as 45 rpm and sometimes flat head/other similar brands. I don't really like buying a shirt by one company only to see 5 more brands using the same fabric that season or next.

consensus seems to be subdued flannels and ginghams?

tonio- i looked at that fabric. I will offer something very similar.

To much brown of anything is bad. you end up looking like a turd.

I have picked out my fabrics and will post pics asap. Cotton and wool is getting sooo expensive.

more pics for this thread would be nice.

Best,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Schneider develop the fabrics he uses himself?

Flannel is cool but so many of them are either ugly plaids or they look like L.L. Bean. Would love to see some very lightweight flannel with interesting patterns. Even a subtle nail head or hounds tooth or a floral could work. Per gingham, it is what it is. I'm sure we will still see a shit load of it but it is well on the way to being played out. I would like to see smaller checks and more Trad/Mod type gingham checks and colors. Oh yeah, I'll +1 the call for western, dot, and floral patterns. In fact how about a cream colored lightweight flannel with floral print in a western cut. Do something cool w/the buttons.

I'm not real big into gingham. I like a unique plaid or solid flannel though. Just got this bad boy; too fucking small. I'm pretty much devestated!

Nil- he might but that doesn't mean shit now and days. Fabric mills sell other peoples crap all the time. That's why if you notice a lot of brands using the same shit. Economy is rough.
Now , the print I looked at might not have been exactly that one but it's pretty fucking close.

I have developed some fabrics for myself as well and I bet you other brands will get their paws on it at some point.

Regarding the last few photos that have been posted or linked - you SWD guys really need some color in your lives.

I love my LL bean flannels especially during the fall+winter, they are an amazing deal too at 29.99 or even less with coupons.
