Helly Hansen, what are your opinions?

So my friend's dad does logistics work for Helly Hansen, and he has quite a few pieces from H/H so I decided to look through the official site.

I really like this chunky knit http://shop.hellyhansen.com/CA/item/...src&t_type=cat

They also make some nice winter wear(parkas etc) and also their polos aren't bad either: http://shop.hellyhansen.com/CA/item/...src&t_type=cat

Anybody have experience with H/H?

no experience, but that's one ugly knit

Every other teenager ( including myself ) here in Germany in ~1998-1999 had either one of these... ...or these: The good old days...

They primarily design technical apparel for snow sports. Aspen/Snowmass got sponsored by them recently, and all of the ski instructors bitch about the crappy quality of the clothes compared to the RLX that they used to get.

RLX imo isn't that much better than HH. i have some HH gear for snowboarding, but also have some RLX. personally I switched all my stuff this year to Stoic.

H/H is sort of middle-lower tier for technical outerwear. Better stuff (in general) is made by Patagonia, Burton, Arcteryx, Marmot, Outdoor Research, Ibex...

Haven't heard about this brand since it got kinda popular in the 90s in hip-hop fashion lol

Ugly shit, but very functional. When I was in AK, I wore bunch of their stuff, but Dutch Harbor wasn't the fashion central in the country.

I did temp work in their factory when I was younger. I was putting labels on packages and boxing things for shipping. Soooo many paper cuts.

I have a raincoat type of dealio thing from them, but it's more of a function over form type of thing.

great med-price snowsports stuff. i find it more functional than fashion. I love the Canadian brand Tiaga for snow-gear. Top-notch and fair priced.
