My brief and semi informational review of Trussardi 1911 hi-tops

Thread Starter
I'm bored, and Trussardi 1911 is a brand that gets no mention on SF and is pretty cheap on Yoox often and isn't really sold in the US, so I thought I would make a thread with some semi informational pics / comments on these shoes I just bought. Might as well contribute some info for once...

mini review:
- the leather on these is really nice. is is marked 100% bovine leather (lolwut?)
- unlike a lot of designer shoes these days, these are actually made in italy (this was surprising to me)
- the soles are pretty nice
- the box is heavy duty
- the shoes are fully leather lined (as they should be, but still...)
- why do they even give shoe bags? what's the point when the shoes won't fit into them...
- I got a 41, I wear 8 in jack purcells, these fit true to size
- ultimately, quality-wise these compare very favorably to most designer sneakers I have seen, esp. at yoox prices
- they are REALLY REALLY COMFORTABLE

Trussardi 1911 is really a pretty nice, wearable line overall. The collections and accessories are all sort of boho-dandy-playboy, which is probably as expected, given that the designer is Milan Vukmirovic, who was buyer at Colette, and then moved on to design some very meh seasons at Jil Sander, and then onto the Webster, Miami, which is as conspiciously and tackily baller as you get, really. They build their hightops on a number of different soles, including the ubiquitous sole used by Niel Barrett, Common Projects, etc... The retail is usually in the $500 range, which is insane, but not that surprising. There are a few interesting models that I would pick up at deep discount though.

Their dress shoes are made by NDC by the way, i picked up a great pair of monkstraps on yoox, and they said "NDC for Trussardi"

so also good quality, and the nice box!

I got these from from yoox, it was the last pair they had....i must echo mainy's assestment of these being super comfortable right out of the box., unlike any other sneakers I have had. Also seems to be well made..... PS. I'd also say they run 1/2 to a 1 size big....these high-tops are size 42 and they feel similar to my CP's in 43.....
