I scored a 170 and decided against LS (with 2 T14 admits, some money at GULC). Went with B-School instead (MBA/MSF) on a mostly full-ride. So far, so good. PM me if you want my reasoning since you have similar aspirations.

I'm currently studying Business Administration and my focus is Marketing. I want to at least get my MBA.

Undergrad was economics and public policy and grad school was economics (mostly econometrics) and urban planning. I'm sort of bored with my job now though and prospects in the planning and development industry are pretty slim locally. Sometimes I think about going back and getting an accounting degree...

Double majored in Corporate Communications and Marketing. Had a great time, but wish i forked up the extra dough to go to a more reputable private school than the state university i graduated from.

Education level was probably the same, but the people you meet at college sometimes defines your professional life. Unfortunately the people i met are doing very small things with their lives, and i have a different mindset.

Because mom and dad would pay for it and because it was expected of me.

I earned/won a heap of scholarships and a Bachelor of Music degree in French horn performance. Also learned a ton about wine, women, and what sort of person I wanted to be.

Wanted to be an engineer since I was 14; went to school for that and to be part of that whole larger marketplace of ideas I felt unavailable to me in HS. Got my degree, found little (but what I found was good) of that marketplace and decided I should fix that by becoming a teacher, started in the part-time grad work, but furloughed due to some family issues. Didn't go back, and decided to parlay engineering -- which has been very good to me -- into patent law, which I am currently studying.
