Show me pictures of Nudie raw jeans washed regularly (e.g. once a week)

Hi,

I'll keep this simple - I'm interested in seeing pictures of Nudie raw jeans that people have washed regularly, rather than complying to the "don't wash for 6 months" policy. The reason I would like to see this is that I'm considering a pair of Nudie jeans and do not care much for doing the custom fading. All I care about is that if I wash them like regular jeans, they won't fade/wear faster than you would expect regular jeans to (i.e. there's nothing special about Nudie dyes or whatever that causes them to fade quickly when washed).

To keep this thread on track, here is what I am not interested in:

- Stories of how I should not wash raw denim for x months
- Unreliable secondhand info about what a friend's brother's uncle said about the fading of Nudie jeans
- Other propaganda that isn't backed by pictures/concrete evidence

Please, if you cannot meet this criteria, abstain from posting.

Other than that, please do share.

Thanks in advance

They will pretty much fade like regular clothes if you treat them like regular clothes. The biggest(only) real selling point apart from fits Nudie has is that their denim fades quickly.

I began washing them like normal jeans, besides, for some reason they smelt worse than other raws I've owned. Honestly, after about 3 months, they looked so crap and had gotten such a weird shape I gave them away. I can't really describe how they looked, it was not cool. It was defo a mess, because you will not stop the fading, and it becomes some kind of half-done thing and the machine is just not what is up for raw denim, so the cut gets affected. Their denim is also slighlty overpriced for what it is too now. My advice would be buy a pro-done one wash if you want to wash your jeans that often.

Many thanks for this.

Hmm, 1 post? At least you knew beforehand you'd look marsupialed for making this thread. You'd probably be better off posting this in Superfuture's Superdenim forum. They might even have a Nudie thread.

Yeah, I'd had a bit of a read through some of the thread you linked, though it is verging on 900 pages, which is the length of a decent size textbook though without the same structure and a lower signal to noise ratio. A conversation of that length seems like the antithesis of threading, though if it's considered a prerequisite read before posting, I won't post again.

Thanks for the pointer to Superfuture's Superdenim forum.

also made in straight leg..

Thanks, I wasn't aware of this. The main reason I was interested in Nudie though was that I liked the color/cut etc., just don't have the inclination to not wash jeans for the prescribed duration and so was curious to know how they'd turn out under once a week washing conditions (which by reports thus far, is not good).

What's so special about the color?

You could opt for a pair of Bleached Nudies (see cultizm.com for examples). That won't make much difference compairing to a pair of regular dry Nudies after washing them ten times. Dying jobs on Nudie SUCK.
