Getting better now that I'm defining my look - most of the bad purchases were early this year

Best:
BoO triple-check shirt
Schneider flannel shirt (thankfully, both were around by sale time at SW)
R&B shawl collar wool cardigan
Our Legacy Manhattan knit
Brooks Brothers extra-slim fit dress shirts
Brooks Brothers Milano-fit trousers
Uniqlo and The Tie Bar knit ties
Heattech jawns
Uniqlo wool blazer
Raf x Fred Perry polos

Meh: (stuff that I still wear, but should've saved for something better)
RL custom fit oxfords
Brooks Brothers extra-slim fit casual shirts - fit isn't bad, but I'd prefer them sans chest logo
Lim wool shorts - great shorts, but I got SWOLEZ over the summer and they look painted-on now
APC short-sleeve shirt

Worst:
APC wool M65 - total Y! Japan impulse buy
Robert Geller arm-hole pleat shirt - another impulse buy
ToJ varsity - beautiful jacket, but it didn't really fit my aesthetic. unloaded on B&S
NDG black watch Mackintosh - same as above, about to post on B&S
Tim Hamilton dress shirt
Jean Shop Rockers - Gilt lulz
Dior tie - total impulse buy at Filene's

Never really understood the St. James "hype" their knits seems way to coarse for my taste

Best
Not really fashion related, a dog.
Andersen - Andersen Roll neck knit
Albam Shawl Collar knit, shirts and when it arrives roll neck
Oliver Peoples Altman

Worst
Folk scarf (It turns out that I'm sensitive towards Alpaca, so I can't wear it and it was bought on sale, so no return)
Rushmoor shirt
Dots Gloves (never received them)

There is no hype it's just basic shit and the virgin wool is coarse as hell.

2010 was my first full year post-SF. I am probably older than the average SW&D, non-baller, modest aspirations. MC does not interest me as I am not a lawyer or salesman. I spent the year lurking and managed to get some of the basics nailed down.

Best:
- Jeans that fit (Momotaro)
- Splurged on a belt (KMW)
- Upgraded my footwear (RMW, Alden)
- MTM shirts (thx Colby)

Close but no cigar:
- TOJ MA-1 (listen to Charly, everyone)
- CPs (sized wrong, rookie mistake, sold on B&S)
- SNS sweaters (still looking for a Stark so I will reserve judgement)
- W+H Service boots (totally not for me, sold on B&S)

Worst:
- Jeans that didn't fit (Dior and APC, couldn't get sizing right, sold on B&S)
- Crap boots (Clarks DB, the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned)
- Shirts that didn't fit (glad I tried BOO, nice stuff but made for tiny people)
- J.Crew (seemed like a good idea at the time but I don't wear ANY of it)

Purged all of my Crew/Gap/BR/pre-2008 office wear so it's all upside from here... imagine the possibilities

A lot of people complain about the comfort of these boots. I happen to love them, but I'm not on my feet all day. May have something to do with my wider feet as well"”not quite D, not quite E.
