Finally finished watching BoB and Gen Kill

I have not kept up on watching war movies made in the last 15 years or so - other than Saving Private Ryan, I don't think I have watched a single one. I finally finished watching Band of Brothers and Generation Kill recently (I had read the books a while ago but finally got to watch the DVD versions).

Any other recommendations for interesting and realistic war movies made recently? I was thinking The Pacific, Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. How about The Thin Red Line? Any others I should look for?

I thought The Hurt Locker was a really good movie, notwithstanding the questionable realism.

+1, there are so many factual things wrong with it, but they get the feel of it very right.

Cool... thanks for all the recommendations. I did see Downfall and Hurt Locker - just forgot to mention them.

Skip the Pacific. Started watching it after finishing BoB and it can't match up.

Damn. I just downloaded this. What were your criticisms?

Full Metal Jacket
Platoon
The Beast of War

The Thin Red Line isn't for everyone. You might find it boring.

a story derived from 2-3 different books did not help it any.

I liked The Pacific more than BoB, but that's mostly because I'm weird

This, so hard. I've only seen parts of Restrepo, but Armadillo is awesome.
