Cleaning out my closet still to fund some purchases, and I decided it's time to finally let go of two shirts that I bought online and loved but never wore because they are too small (measurements are about the same for both). First, is a Band of Outsiders green candy cane stripe buttondown tagged size M/Tall. I (think) this is first season BoO, but it might be second. Either way, I picked this up from South Willard for about $250 and they stopped making the tall versions a season or two after. This shirt kinda crystallized what this brand is trying to do for me. The tailoring is impeccable, like every-detail-thought-out, impeccable. Slim fitting, but (because it's "tall") it will fit people of normal height. The reason I couldn't wear any other shirts from this brand is simply because they're too short. There is double darting on the back and the classic BoO reinterpretation of the center vent that runs down the back. Everything that counts about this shirt fits perfectly -- collar is perfect size, pattern is classic and subtle, cuffs are single-button reinterpretations of vintage buttondown cuffs, tabbed ends at side (see picture). Really can't say much more about it. It's in absolutely brand new condition and has not been washed. Made in USA (not sure if they moved production to Greenfield or not yet). Some loose strings, but, in my opinion, every single item made by this brand has loose strings. Measurements (appx): 20" pit to pit (not too forgiving) 29" bottom of collar to hem 17.75" shoulder I'd like to get ... $115 (!) shipped CONUS for this. Second, is a Nom de Guerre shirt I bought online from Oi Polloi in F/W 08. It wasn't carried by any other stockists as far as I could tell (at least online stockists). I guess this is kind of a rare item as NDG is closing(?). Anyway, this is my favorite shirt of theirs from what I think is the nicest collection they ever produced. The attention to detail on this shirt is also insane. It is cut is amazingly and the pattern is super subtle variegated stripes. The cotton they used is super, super soft and premium -- nicer than any other designer shirts I've felt and definitely nicer than anything in their price range. All buttons are MOP and thick. The patterning and tailoring is thought out to a degree not normally seen, e.g. the cuffs are patterned into and folded and sewn into the back side at small angles to maintain the pattern on the shirt as well as to provide an anatomical fit. Reinforced at the sides. I really regret having to sell this but it never fit and I never wore it. Should be a staple in pretty much anyone's wardrobe. Tagged size large. Made in Japan. Measurements (appx): 20" pit to pit 29" bottom of collar to hem 17.25" shoulder I paid about $220 for it (this was the season that broke the bank). I'd like to get ... $115 (!) shipped CONUS for it. Please feel free to PM me questions. I'd definitely be open to listening to offers for both and will combine shipping. Paypal as a GIFT or ADD 4%. Thanks a lot! BUY THESE!
