You must not live in Africa. As a caucasian American, my understanding from my politically correct friends is that the entire continent celebrates it. They also have no idea as to why we all aren't more informed and aware of it, given it's existence predates all this Christian nonsense.

Same. I remember hearing about it in grade school and getting some half assed explanation of it, but that's the only experience I have with it.
