Why do you keep assuming I'm from MC? I don't even own a suit and all my jawns are raw, selvedge, or STF. Granted, they're all 501's, but still.

I'm neither trolling or butthurt. Might be failing but I seriously can't imagine sweatpants, velcro sneakers, and looking like you're wearing your older brother's jacket passing for "fashionable".

Now I want rambo to go back to mc and conduct the same type of grad level analysis so he can post his findings here on how they don't rook same.

Do you guys seriously think like this? This is like a "let's make fun of the obtuse MC guy" joke or something but this is actually your perspective on clothing. I guess I just dunno why you bother, in that case.

Those guys are even worse. I gave up on that shit a long time ago.

Why am I obtuse and what am I bothering with? I was rolling with what Kunk said and I think he's right. Look, I have no Greyhound in this race. I was just chiming in. After looking at these pics again I'm starting to understand where there are so many "help me with my hair" threads in Health & Body.

Clothes. Like I understand people who don't care and just can't be assed to even try to understand why anyone WOULD care, that's fine, I don't understand rodeo sports and don't care, people have different interests. I also understand people who have one particularly focused aesthetic they like, whether it's Get Smart's vintage skinhead inspired idea or asobu in yohji or some really focussed rick fanboy on SZ, that's cool too. I don't get how someone can care about clothing, and look at an entire range of ideas within that general area of interest and essentially dismiss them as incorrect and incomprehensible, particularly while simultaneously assuming that that view is a matter of there being something wrong with the people wearing the clothes, and not you. That is pretty much quintessentially obtuse. You might as well just go back to the first paragraph of this post and be one of the people who doesn't care.

PS that wasn't even referring to the categorical dismissal of sweatpants as a type of pant that can in no way be used in any worthwhile context apparently. I don't own a pair of sweatpants but just take that statement alone and like I said... "fuck, really?"

I neither dismissed them as incorrect or incomprehensible. I said that they're extremely similar and that some of them are an abortion. I stand by that. Nobody should be wearing sweatpants in public unless they're a 40year old divorcee and the pants have writing on the ass. Velcro sneakers should only be worn by the elderly and severely diabetic. Trying to pass these things off as fashionable is criminal. You're sure as hell right that I don't understand that.

i am enjoying where this is going!

See reading that is just painful. Reasonable people can disagree as to whether a particular aesthetic or fit rings home with them but being completely unable to appreciate, again on a categorical level, an entire silhouette, aesthetic, type of clothing, it's just sad. I'm not going to dress like that synthese fit and I'd say it's a bit of a foul ball for a couple of reasons, but it's not an abortion, the idea underlying it makes sense. Seriously, with a straight face you can say no one can put together anything good with a) sweatpants or b) sneakers with a velcro closure in any conceivable circumstance? Those classes of clothing are, for you, equivalent to ill-fitting tommy bahama hawaiian shirts? Cause I don't even fuckin' know what to say to you man I mean, damn.

I am happy to see several odd combinations of clothing when I check out pics on occasion. I'm not saying everybody has to look like a frat boy or a hipster. Look, I live amongst the largest elderly population in the US, per capita. I SEE sweatpants and velcro shoes on a daily fucking basis. This shit is not fashionable. Nobody should be wearing this shit as fashion, ever. EVER. I don't give a fuck if Lanvin designed them for H&M. You still look like you rolled out of bed after a night out drinking to get over your latest breakup. The only groups of men who should be wearing velcro shoes and sweatpants are those with Down Syndrome and severe mental retardation. And I see Tommy Bahama shirts as coture as well. Its a way of life down here. Doesn't make it fashionable. If CCP designed an angler shirt, with a RiRi zipper instead of buttons, you'd still look like you just rolled off a boat from a god damn fishing trip. Most of these guys would probably smell the same though.
