I'm partial to the "leave your phone on silent always" tone

I use these: http://www.iringpro.com/ Dubbed "Ringtones for professionals." In particular, I use the Zen collection which is nice and subtle. They have a demo pack for free download. Most of the time, however, I rely on vibrate as the Zen tone I use is almost impossible to hear in noisy situations.

I use old Super Mario Bros. sounds.

People will either recognize them, or they will just think it's one of the default rings on your phone.

those aren't bad, thanks. Chimey, but not bad. Certainly not hideously unprofessional like most of the options out there, and not overdone either.

does your friend know that you refer to him as "that fucking crazy frog"?

lol. I've called him much worse over the years trust me.

I use vibrate or the standard ring on my iPhone. I always have done the standard one, as stated above, nothing is worse than the way I view someone when their Eminem or Taylor Swift ringtone goes off in a crowded room. I don't know why I do this exactly; it's just an instinctual "REALLY?"

With that said, in Ocean's Thirteen Brad Pitt has a MIDI sounding version of "Don't you want me" by Human League. Also, if you really want to be different, why not do the Sanford & Son theme?

What you really want is a ringtone that sounds like a standard phone one, but isn't - as in nobody else has it on their phone. Sadly those are rare.

Tranquil enough to put me in a good mood before answering anything.

A little less tacky than most: I use the start of The Who's Baba O'Riley. It's distinct but kinda cell phone tuney.

I leave it on vibrate. The only non-eye-gouging/skull-pulverizingly awful ringtone I've heard is the one on my friends' phone: its a bunch of jungle frogs ribbiting. Its discreet and even kind of relaxing.

Whip It by Willow Smith. Alpha. Powerful. All Male.
