Very much in line with the Church-Stafford lineage of Northern California landscape architecture.

Thought this was the landscape architecture thread, not the nature thread. Different approach for different folks I guess. Parc de la Villette is great precisely because it isn't about nature. Versailles is great too, and I don't think you can be harsh on the Tuileries either. It may not be your ideal for a park, and not the best example of good landscape architecture, but it clearly works as an outdoor/public space and can get packed with people.

Also, I don't think the intention for a was to create something appropriate for the scale of a home, and I'm sure the same logic wouldn't be applied to someone's backyard.

If landscape architecture is limited to pouring cement in random fields and trimming hedges, we can write off the whole enterprise.

Hey, I'm all for both extremes. It cuts both ways though. If landscape architecture is about cutting a few trees out of an existing forest, we can write off the whole enterprise.

The Bali Hyatt shown in the video looks great. I'd love to stay there just to check it out.

Honestly you're better off looking at smaller places.
