And there's little doubt that Manning is the media darling of the two. Something which has clearly affected your judgment.

the original statement was more top 3 finishes, meaning Manning is always in the conversation. hell even this year he's flirted with marino's passing yrds. record and leads the league...and this is a down year. i've seen matt cassel lead that same pats team to a great record, and i've seen brady play lost the first games of this year. manning is consistently the man.

Got it. Because if Wilt Chamberlain was instead the one with seven NBA Hall of Famers on his teams, he'd still have two titles and Russell would still have 11. Basketball isn't really a team game so the other 80% of the team really makes no difference in a comparison of individual players.

Your brain is soft.

Are we supposed to be pretending that Peyton Manning couldn't have won 3 Superbowls with the Patriots?

+1. Also he wouldn't have choked a perfect season away like Brady. Unless you buy into my theory that the Patriots had to lose that game due to spy gate.

In this fantasy scenario, was Brady on the Colts or Steelers in 2003 or 2004? Because if he was, then no, Manning wouldn't have had those rings.

Brady led his team on what should have been a game winning scoring drive. How is that choking?

Did they score?

I don't think he's a disappointment in the slightest, but there is a certain amount of "Well he should win" that goes with his ascent through the ranks. Brady's "200th pick of the draft becomes Super Bowl MVP and greatest QB of a generation" plays better than Manning's story, IMO.

Yes, they did. Did you watch the game? Brady scored a TD leaving the Giants at their own 17 yard line with 2:39 on the clock and the need to score a TD to win.

99% of the time that's enough for a victory. Barring a dropped interception and a fluke catch it would have been.
