I have friends who are renting a yacht for the night, invited to that, and sure it'd be pretty cool, but it's like 150 a head, and I'm not in a pop-300 for the night mood right now. Also invited to a beach town called Mui Ne, which would be fun, but jam-packed. May do that the week after instead when we can just chill there. So I'll probably go to a party at a bar called Flow and do a bunch of e again. How novel.

House party that will have a sushi chef (friend of the family hosting). He makes tempura on the spot and of course sushi with real wasabi.

invited to a party at a friend of a friend's house, but not sure i'm gonna go.. it's too far out of the way and i'm not convinced there will be many attractive girls there. I generally avoid NYE.

My apartment's a mad house every New Year's Eve till 5am so even if I cut the night short or stay in, I get no sleep.

I'm probably going to just catch up on reading and have a scotch since I'm back on the road Monday. I guess I'm getting old.

I have more plans to get sloshed on New Year's Day itself what with the football games and lunch & dinner parties.

Currently at a historic B&B with my wife. Started with a great old-style dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and now we're watching classic movies in our room with a bottle of merlot. Tomorrow is breakfast at the inn, a little bumming around, late lunch/brunch at the same place as tonight and a few hours with a couple of great friends.

I'm on Kauai with my wife and two kids - fireworks and probably early to bed. Nice to ring in the new year where it is so warm and beautiful.
