New Year's Eve 2010/2011 Plans

What are your plans for New Year's Eve? I think it's amateur night and avoid the three-digit costing hotel parties like the plague. I'm probably going to a house party because the price is right (will bring the host an inexpensive bottle of wine).

Chik-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta to watch my alma mater play, go out and party afterwards. Should be a great time.

You forgot part about the chic that is MrG's neighbor.

Agree on amateur night status, Chaser.

Heading to a closed party of VIP customers at one of my usual hang outs. Excited about the prix fixe menu. Just for me the chef put seared veal sweetbreads as one of the appies

Working. Pouring lots of champagne for rich people, who are probably going to get drunk and feel like they can treat me like an asshole. Yay for having a job. And they will more than likely stay at the restaurant until 3 or 4 AM because they ARE assholes, so yay for that as well.

It does pay the bills. We'll be going to a friends house, like we have done for many years, for wine, champagne, and playing Foodie Fight. Boring, but you know what? I always look forward to it. This year as its a chance to try 2007 Domaine les Pallières Gigondas Terrasse du Diable with dinner and friends.

Some of them, at least.
I do love my job though. I don't know why I bitch about it.

No idea. Not paying $50 plus for crowded open bars. So I'm looking for a party

Let me amend the question: What are you doing for New Years Eve and what will you be drinking?

Probably because you are working on New Years Eve?

I'll give you a silent toast with the Pallières.

family party. really never party in NYE, just with family. really low key. don't mind it, I actually prefer it. This year we'll have dinner at a high end chinese restaurant, go to some people's house for a while then go to other people's house for midnight countdown.

Galactic/Tea Leaf Green at Tip's. First time I'll get to see Galactic at Tipitina's, I hear they bring the heat at NYE shows. Should be a good time.

No idea yet. Maybe some bars but I'd prefer a house party.

I don't know where I'm going to be but I can promise I'll be stuffed with loads of food.
