I just finished the made for Netflix season of Longmire. I thought it was great. It's plots are more connected now. I'm not sure if I enjoy that or the old format of one crime case an episode. What direction do the books take?

Disappointed in the new Netflix Keith Richards doc that was just released.

I have that in my queue. No rush to watch it.

Am I the only one who really got into The Killing seasons 1 & 2 but finding season 4 really bad. They spend 3 seasons building these characters with incredible depth and subtlety, to then turn them into ridiculously simplified personalities in season 4. Can't possibly be the same writers?

I am too. The doc has no real direction to it. It's like he just sits down and talks about random stuff. That said, just hearing Keith Richards talking is just soothing to me. That man knows how to enjoy life and it feels uplifting to watch. My advice to anyone thinking of watching it is to save it for when you are feeling blue.

I don't get it. Why is this considered so good?

Maybe it's because I saw the "Killing Pablo" documentary and read the book. Maybe it's because I also saw Cocaine Cowboys.
But so far, this has done nothing for me. No new insight. It's slow at times. It's not unique.

It IS watchable. Maybe by the end, I will change my mind and say that this was a very good Netflix series. Right now? Eh.
3/5

I just can't get into it. I want to love it but half way through ep 2, I'm not all that interested in any of the characters. It has a great framework but unless I care about the characters, I can't get sucked in. I'll give it to ep 3 before I throw in the towel. I really want to love it.

Loved Bloodline. Even with a significant plot point at the very beginning of the story, it's still compelling.

You guys are really overthinking Narcos. It's good but nothing special
post #624 of 657
^i disagree. I think you're under-thinking it.

Haven't liked a movie this much in a long time. Made in USA Persian indie flick in black and white.

My wife and I are both frustrated by Netflix streaming. Hate that once you watch something it keeps popping up. Also, there really aren't many classic movies.
