Just finished a 20 day water fast

Stopped eating on November 30th and had my first bite of solid food today (an orange). Amazingly enlightening experience.

My body did a lot of healing during this period. Scars I've had for years disappeared, my skin is incredibly soft, vision improved, and I have more energy than I've had since I was a child. Mental clarity and calmness of mind has been elevated, and my intermittent bouts of depression are seemingly gone. Oh, and I lost 23 pounds.

All in all, I gained a great appreciation for the little things in life that really matter. But most of all, I gained back self control and willpower, which was my ultimate goal.

No food for 20 days sounds terrible.

You get mad props for that man! How'd you do it? 20 days is a long time.

This sounds incredibly unhealthy.

After day 3 my hunger completely disappeared, so it wasn't as bad as it may sound. Your energy levels are definitely affected, but that's all apart of the process. I was still able to hike and take walks, along with moderate resistance training, but no heavy cardio whatsoever.

As far as it being unhealthy...I would expect that as the typical response. It's taboo in America to skip breakfast, let alone go without food for an extended period of time! I definitely did my fair share of research into the subject to make sure I wasn't putting myself in harm. I'd recommend this text for anyone who is interested in knowing more:

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that America is 300m identical, gluttonous people. I'll be careful to avoid the place.

I very much doubt this is even possible. You are either lying or suffering from delusions. Go see a doctor immediately.

This definitely is possible. I only did a week long water fast (and several one-day long ones) and I can say that it visibly improved my skin condition, my eyes were brighter, I felt immensely relaxed and although my body was weaker, mentally I worked well. (When I started eating and exercising again after the fast, I gained lean muscle like crazy btw.) But I'd like to give a 14-day fast a try, at least once in my life. Cmon, you live like for 75 years, this is only a few weeks. The experiment is worth it.

how often would you drink water during this 20 day period?

I'm curious to learn if this water diet included tap water, purified water, water distilled from maple trees, or a variety of waters.

I also wonder how this would be good for the skin. How does that make sense?

I stopped eating for 200 days. My skin feels great because I'm in heaven.
