Mafoofan struggles to buy breast wallet at Hermes . . . arises victorious! - Page 110

Is it too crass to ask the final cost of this? Obviously your sanity can't be quantified but a dollar number would be good. Fully understand if this isn't something you want to share.

It wasn't cheap, but I feel it was worth what I paid. I don't like discussing pricing because it tends to detract from conversation--certain people like to use it as a basis for making things personal.

Matt - are you willing to share with us where to get the gator tubo belts? Thank you.

Nah, it's nice. Maybe not 1600 odd posts nice but fish gotta swim, foo.gif gotta foo.gif

Expert handcraft, and superlative quality of materials & design, are all priceless. I will continue to pay as much as I can afford for these things for the entirety of my life.

I like this purchase of yours a lot, particularly the choice of colour. I'm not sure about the monogramming though, but, each to his own.

Explaining how you don't need to be special reminds you of pretending you need to be special?

With the recommendation and help of RJman I am able to quote a link to the tar baby song for maximum joy and fun:

Jawohl, I know (thanks for the note though), but he said it would be great if I could post the song and he looked up the link for me.
I also thought it would be suitable for this thread - et voila!

Looks great. Love the new avatar.

Fwiw, I like the monogram. Gold or silver would have looked nice, but blind is also great.

Thanks. I'll most likely keep it plain now--just because getting it filled with silver leave would involve another visit to the store and a three-day wait.

Can anyone provide a comparison between this wallet and ones made by Hermes alum, like Beatrice at April in Paris or some of those based in Paris?

That wallet is stunning. The colour, the style, the craftsmanship. Congrats foo.gif for reaffirming my belief that good things come to those who wait. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

+1 to leaving the monogram as is. It's stealthy. I like that.

You could probably double your investment on this by tossing it on eBay. Anyone who googles it, will realize its epicness.

Be careful when you take it out to pay for something... SF could be over your shoulder. patch[1].gif

I've followed this thread from the beginning, spending hours in the process, and must say that I worried about being let down when/if you succeeded in acquiring your breast wallet. Well, it's really beautiful. I hope it serves you well. Congrats! nod[1].gif

So you don't want your money back?

I don't understand what you were expecting. Up until now, the thread has been about trying to order and waiting for the wallet. The wallet is done and I showed what it looks like. Is that not the natural progression of things?

You make it sound like I'd be wasting less of your time by not showing the final product and letting the status quo drag on indefinitely.
