Very good. I'm trilled to find out that it doesn't stand for Hermes. I'm reminded of the scene in Richard Anderson's book when Bargeman/Bragman/Whatever (sp?) of Huntsman wants to start a line of "H" jewelry and is told that "H" belongs to Hermes. I'm English ... I don't go for that one unless the title is properly bestowed.

LOL neither do I; I can't believe I ended up with a the nickname duchess, but what's a girl to do? It's an old nickname and I do make a point of not capitalising the d in duchess.

My husband call's me 'lady muck' when he's pissed at me, and I believe he capitalises every letter. lol.

I plan on copying the double H's on the Hermes Faubourg location doors, to be incorporated into the crest over our pool house door. They even allowed me to take a photo of them from inside. I'm not making an exact copy; but even if I did, it's not anything being sold in the marketplace.
I don't think Disney could stop anyone for drawing a picture of Mickey Mouse on their kids bedroom wall, so I'm not concerned about Hermes.

A spy reports, "Jay was in a private room of Hermes doing last-minute shopping. He had a guard standing watch outside. He spent $350,000 on Birkin bags, among other things."

The buying binge took so long, Jay-Z missed his scheduled lunch at Nello, prompting the restaurateur to deliver his food to the store. Jay-Z has plenty to spend "” he's getting $1 million to perform at the opening of the Cosmopolitan hotel and casino in Vegas on New Year's Eve. His rep declined to comment."

Didnt' Hermes reject Oprah from entering their store? Arguably the richest black person around?

Yes, yes ... you are a little lower key than say ... Lady Gaga.

If it makes you happy ... go for it. But ... I wouldn't temp fate. In short, I don't recommend sending pictures to the flagship -- or rather mothership -- in Paris.

At first this thread was mildly amusing. Then it became one of the worst. Are some of you really this devoid of wit?

It's hidden ... look again. This thread is Straussian ... you must be able to read between the lines ... or at least know what is intentionally left out.

Sorry, I don't know how to post a link. if you search design boom under Hermes Cravates, or something like that you might find it. The contest winners were announced this past February. it was an open worldwide submission contest.

Yeah, I remember reading about it. In fact, I think someone on SF posted the link to it even? http://www.designboom.com/hermes.html

what exactly does that mean?

Say the words quickly.

Despite my digs at certain factions of tPF, it actually takes quite a lot to be banned from there. The most common reason being the offending member has been proven to be a scam artist. The ladies there do NOT turn the other cheek when it comes to being ripped off.

BTW...I have 'your' photos posted elsewhere prior to this.

Now this would be a nice ending, however unlikely it might be.

From the meandering I have done so far on this forum, I would have to agree. You boys are more creative and articulate in your disagreements.

Damn. I hate admitting guys are better at something.

Not sure if this is an irrational fear on my part or if the analogy holds true for Hermes, but it is something to think about...

I've done a bunch of MTM at work and have never had a 'disaster', par for the course with MTM there are always small alterations needed but everything has been spot on to what was requested from salesman to end product.

I did a pair of MTM pants for myself and they were literally spot on right out of the box, I knew which measurements to change to fix of the small details in the RTW pants to perfect them, all of them came out as requested.

Any 'action' pics of these items? Or do you only take pics of your 'special' items while they are still inside the store?
