yea ... kinda surprised to see this posted. its not very common. I have which ever one goes out. Its not very severe but still quite noticeable. basically my sternum is flat with my pecs except on my left the lower ribs overlap it somewhat and sticks out a bit. I was definitely embarrassed when I was younger, don't care so much now ladies notice it sometimes but don't really care. I don't really have any significant health problems from it. I think it would be hard for me to get CPR and i think its possible my lung capacity is slightly less because my chest doesn't expand as well as it would otherwise. I know it can be a major health risk if it is severe.

Weird. I was actually studying this a couple days ago in class. Last thing I expected to see posted on SF.

Many patients have a mild deformity with no associated morbidity requiring treatment.
