This could be used as a metaphor for a nearly endless number of historical phenomena.

If we are to have a footwear sub-forum, lets have separate ones for the Clothing and Streetwear gangs.

I really do not want to have to move to AAAC, or even worse, the bloody Londonlounge.
Very nice perspective. I also like your loyalty to this forum.

Way too confusing. There are, imho, too many forums as is (General and Current Events seem to cover a lot of stuff, for example).

Siamese fighting fish, fascinating creatures. Brave but of the whole stupid. Yes they're stupid. Except for the occasional one such as we have here who lets the other two fight. While he waits. Waits until the survivor is so exhausted that he cannot defend himself, and then like SPECTRE... he strikes!

I agree that we do not need a seperate shoe forum and I like the fact that everyone checks out this one place so whoever might have an opinion will chime in.

However, I think keeping General and Current Events seperate is a good idea because General often has intelligent and interesting conversations - while 90% of what appears on Current Events is shite.

This thread is fucking gold.

I think it would make it harder to browse Style Forum since everyone who's interested in nice leather shoes is generally interested in suits, shirts, ties, etc. anyway. If you make a subforum, then you have to browse an extra forum for the same information.

You can just sticky one thread which links to the best of shoe porn, or appoint a moderator to add photos to a locked shoe porn thread. It must open with the Corben, of course.

I respect all opinions here, but I have made an interesting observation in that the majority don't want to see a shoe sub-forum solely based on the fact that they'd have yet another sub-forum to navigate. Might I ask the question that has been burning on my brain from the reading through everony'es reply in this thread: how lazy have we become that we vote no simply based on the fact that we can't take a second to click a different link? When this occurs, you must surely ask yourself whether or not the forum is actually worth your time if you can't take the extra few seconds to click a link and scan the posts for ones you are interested in. Sub-fora exist for a purpose; they help organize the discussions, and since when did organization hurt anything?

Why create unnecessary hurdles to access the discussions? The issue isn't whether people are too lazy to go to another forum, but rather whether or not the currrent level of organization is adequate. It seems to me that it is. It doesn't matter anyway. It's j's playhouse. He decides at his own personal whim.

Actually, forget that: j, I demand a thrift forum!
